What we keep, and why
Short, because there isn’t much
- 1
What we keep about you
When you sign in with GitHub we store your GitHub id, username, display name, avatar and primary email address. We never see your GitHub password and we ask for no other access.
- 2
Cards and charges
Cards are entered on a page hosted by Stripe and stored by Stripe. We keep only a Stripe customer id, a payment-method id and a label such as "Visa ·· 4242", plus a record of each bid, charge and refund. Charges appear on statements under the account that runs this site.
- 3
The page you submit
When you check a link we fetch it, take a screenshot and run automated safety checks on the text and the image. The link, screenshot and check results are stored, and the page you publish is shown to everyone, with your GitHub username, for its day. The top bid and the bidder’s username are public while an auction runs.
- 4
Email
We write only when something happens to a bid of yours: you won, you were outbid, your page went live, or money is coming back to you. No newsletters and no third-party marketing.
- 5
Cookies
One session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
- 6
Who else sees data
Stripe (payments), GitHub (sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and OpenAI (automated screening of submitted pages, when configured). Each receives only what its job needs.
- 7
Keeping and deleting
Records of bids, charges and refunds are kept for as long as the site runs, since they are the receipts. Ask and we will delete your account and everything not needed for a financial record.
Questions or a deletion request: apoorv@vaaya.ai. See also the rules.
